Eligibility for Admission in 6th

● Candidate must be studying in class 5th in Government or recognized school of the district of the same district in which he wants Admission in class 6th.
● Candidate must have studied class 3rd, 4th and 5th from a Government or recognized school and should be passed each year.
● Candidate's date of birth should be between 01/05/2003 and 30/04/2007 (including both dates). In short candidate's age should have between 11 and 15 (including both).

Eligibility for Admission in 9th

● Candidate must be studying in class 8th in Government or recognized school of the district of the same district in which he wants Admission in class 9th.
● Candidate must have studied and passed class 8th from a Government or recognized school.
● Candidate's date of birth should be between 01/05/2006 and 30/04/2010 (including both dates). In short candidate's age should have between 8 and 12 (including both)

Reservation

● 75% seats for rural students
● 1/3 seats for girls
● 3% seats for disabled/handicapped students
● Seats for SC and ST students as per Indian Government rules

Application and Examination

Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti announced applications for the Admission in 6th and 9th classes on October 25, 2018 and the last date was November 30, 2018. Candidates can apply online as well as offline. Online method is easy and recommended.
Examination dates for Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) 2018 is falling in February and April of 2019. Examination date for admission in 9th class is February 2, 2018 (Saturday) and examination date for admission in class 6th is April 6, 2018 (Saturday)
