How to write or deliver a speech? 

Speech writing

Definition : -

A speech is a formal talk or discourse delivered to an audience to express
thought or opinions over a particular subject matter.

Distribution of Marks :–

Format :

Opening address and conclusion : 1 Mark
Content : 4 Marks
Expression : Grammatical accuracy, appropriate words and spellings : (2½ marks)
Coherence and relevance of ideas and style : (2½ marks)

Points to Remember

* Part I – Introduction - define the topic
* Part II – Analyse the topic in terms of Types / kinds, Cause, Problems Faced, consequences, Effects, Present State, Related information
* Part III – Conclusion – suggestions, remedial measures, steps for improvement
* Word limit (150 to 200 words)
* Think about the topic and ideas associated with it.
* Collect ideas through brain storming
* Make value points and develop them into paragraphs
* Make a rough draft, edit and time yourself (15-20 min.)
* Revise critically.
* Organise the ideas in a logical order
* Speech should be a coherent piece clerly stating a particular point of view.
* In the end, write 'Thank You' on the extreme left

Present time is a difficult time to survive  for the common man due to rise
in prices of essential commodities.
–Impossible to make both ends meet
–The prices of domestic gas, petrol, pulses, vegetables, fruits etc sky rocketing

Drastic changes in economy lead to hike in prices of commodities
–Increase in the prices of petrol or diesel tends to effect the entire economic structure.
– Motive of traders to earn more profits leads to black marketing / hoarding
– Then there is price rise
– Sometimes less supply, more demand
– Natural calamities
– Less monsoon are also the causes

– There should be check on price rise by state machinery
– Ban on hoarding / black marketing
– Such traders be behind the bars
– License should be cancelled
– Cooperative stores be opened
– Fair price shops required
– Strict supervision and monitoring be done by authorities concerned
– Government should boost the market of its own agricultural produce.
